You are most beautiful when you smile

Long face, rough manner, ridiculous appearance, unfriendly attitude. Is that how you hope to inspire others to follow Christ?

True virtue is not sad or disagreeable, but pleasantly cheerful.

If things go well, let us rejoice, blessing God who makes them prosper. And if they go badly? Let us rejoice, blessing God who allows us to share in the sweetness of his Cross

You ask me to suggest a cure for your sadness. I'll give you a prescription from an expert adviser, the Apostle Saint James:

Tristatur aliquis vestrum, are you sad, my son? Oret! Pray! Try it and you will see.

~St. Josemaria Escriva. The Way.

------------------------------------------
Do not abandon yourselves to despair. We are the easter people and hallelujah is our song.

"It is Jesus that you seek when you dream of happiness; He is waiting for you when nothing else you find satisfies you; He is the beauty to which you are so attracted; it is He who provoked you with that thirst for fullness that will not let you settle for compromise; it is He who urges you to shed the masks of a false life; it is He who reads in your heart your most genuine choices, the choices that others try to stifle.

It is Jesus who stirs in you the desire to do something great with your lives, the will to follow an ideal, the refusal to allow yourselves to be ground down by mediocrity, the courage to commit yourselves humbly and patiently to improving yourselves and society, making the world more human and more fraternal."

~Blessed Pope John Paul II

------------------------------------------

A joyful heart is the inevitable result of a heart burning with love.

Let no one ever come to you without leaving better and happier. Be the living expression of God's kindness: kindness in your face, kindness in your eyes, kindness in your smile.

Joy is a net of love by which you catch souls.

Let us  always meet each other with a smile, for the smile is the beginning of love.

~Mother Teresa of Calcutta

------------------------------------------

A smile is the light in the window of your face that tells people you're at home.

Do we not say that a person has a sense of humor if he can "see through things" and do we not say that a person lacks a sense of humor if he cannot "see through things"? But God made the world according to such a plan that we were constantly to be "seeing through things" to Him, the power, the wisdom, the beauty, and the source of all that isIn other words, the material was to be a revelation of the spiritual, the human the revelation of the divine, the fleeting and the passing, the revelation of the Eternal.

~Archbishop Fulton John Sheen

You are most beautiful when you smile
For a soul who carries a joyous and cheerful heart
Also carries with him the beauty of our Lord.

Oh what a Joy! Oh what a Delight!
"My soul glorifies the Lord,
my spirit rejoices in God, my Saviour."

~petite fleur de cebu
